Top 7 Survey Results - What to Do to Get Muscles?

So you want to know what to do to get muscles, the first thing you do is go to the grocery store and buy those big Atlantic muscles there....... ok just kidding. Seriously though guys, people have been struggling with that very question for hundreds of years. After trying and testing lots of different methods and courses, I have finally figured out what to do to get muscles. I call it the Ideal Fitness System. I will outline the top 7 survey results of my system below.

Motivation

All of these tips listed will be useless if you are not motivated for the right reasons. You have to really want change in your life. You must get the right mindset that you want to live a healthy, happy and fit lifestyle. Nothing else only total dedication will do. It's the only way to truly achieve anything great.

Lift Weights

Of course you knew this one had to be here. If you want to know what to do to get muscles, you will most definitely have to lift weights.

Lifting a weight that is just beyond your muscle capacity will break down the muscle tissue. When muscle tissue is broken down (just a little) the body will kick-in its healing system and repair the tissue.

Over time this will make the body respond and increase your muscle mass so that it will not break-down each time. That is why to keep building bigger and stronger muscles you need to increase the weight at certain intervals.

Cardio

Cardio is also an important factor when answering the question what to do to get muscles. Regular cardio exercise will help strip away any unwanted fat that may still cover your muscle. However, do not over do-it, too much will strip away and burn the valuable calories and nutrients needed to repair those "over-worked muscles"

Eat Healthier

Come on now, I know what you are thinking....rabbit food right? Well not really, but yes you will have to eat more nutritious and healthy foods to keep your body provided with the valuable proteins, fats (the good ones) and minerals needed to fuel the well-oiled machine you are building.

Eating more fruits and vegetables, as well as lean meats, nuts and grains will make you feel amazing. In turn, feeling amazing to start with will only cause the snow-ball effect, feel good-exercise....exercise-feel good. That's why exercise and good eating habits work so well together-they complement each other.

Eat More

Now I know you may be surprised by this one. However, it is a fact that eating smaller but more frequent meals will kick your metabolism in to over-drive. What happens is that you tell your body that there is lots of food and it does not have to store fat (the body's energy reserve) for a "rainy day".

Eating more frequent and healthier meals (power-shots) I like to call them, will give you more energy, longer lasting stamina and lots of focus through-out the day and during your exercise to blast away fat and build that precious muscle well all want.

Drink Lots of Water

I know you have heard this before, but drinking lots of water is an important part in knowing what to do to get muscles. The body is made up of more than 80% water. By drinking lots of water you are only providing it with one of its most basic elements. So do it, drink lots of water, period.

Lots of Rest

Exercise, weight lifting and eating well are essential to building muscle. However, we do not build bigger and stronger muscles while doing all of those things. We just provide the fuel to start the process. Muscle building actually happens when you are resting.

Resting or sleeping is when the body repairs and rejuvenates it's-self. Lots of rest and sleep is needed for the body to repair the "broken" muscle tissue and without it will not be as strong the following day and weeks that are required to build muscle.

Those 7 principles are not the complete puzzle for knowing what to do to get muscles. Other critical factors as concluded from the survey results are Focus, Partnership and Avoiding Injuries.
