How a Six Pack Can Make You Famous

With the money, success and fame celebrity status brings many people have a strong desire to break into show business. This fact alone has increased the competition tenfold, making it even more difficult to get a foot in the door when applying for small jobs such as a TV Extra or Actor for advertisements.

However, for men, there is one asset that is much sought after in the entertainment industry, and that is the coveted six pack.

Of course ultimately most hopefuls would prefer to be known for their acting ability, however by utilizing your outstanding features you can set yourself apart from the rest making you a stand out in auditions. Even Hollywood greats such as Jonny Depp and Brad Pitt began as models showing that no matter how you gain entry to the world of show business, once there you have the potential to reap massive rewards.

TV Extra

You can become a TV Extra as a part time job or you can aim to make it a full time career. There are many opportunities for a man with a six pack, from being the buff one night stand in soaps, to being the gorgeous passer-by that the female stars notice. The money is also worthwhile making it a lucrative career choice; with the added bonus of putting you in the right place at the right time should juicier roles be advertised.

Many TV Extra agents will sign up a man on the basis of the six pack alone, as shallow as it sounds, they know that they will be able to find you work and so are willing to take that chance.

Music Videos

Many music videos seek extras for the background, as female singers such as Madonna and Kylie love to surround themselves with buff men, highlighting their take on Girl Power and giving a feast for the eyes for the women whilst strutting their stuff for the men. A lot of actors began in music videos, as these make great additions to an aspiring thespians portfolio, making it a win win situation for all.

Body Double

Despite popular belief not every Hollywood male actor has a six pack; these bodies are normally brought in and cleverly manoeuvred to give a seamless scene where viewers are none the wiser. Of course your face will not be seen, but jobs such as these can place you in the direct focus of the contacts many would walk over hot coals to secure.

TV Advertising
