Weight Gain Foods That Will Lead To Explosive Muscle Gains

ByLester Jessop

Expert Author Lester Jessop

When one is seeking to add some pounds, weight gain foods come in handy. Proper nutrition and diet are the core factors when one wants to gain weight. Regardless of how much weight training you take on, if you are not feeding your body with the right foods, then your efforts will all be in vain.

Why are you underweight?

Perhaps one of the most important question that you should answer before you decide on how you are going to go about trying to gain weight is why you are thin. What is it that has made you lack the muscles and the bulk that you desire? Some common reasons for this include chronic disease, eating disorders, lack of physical activity and age. You may also be thin due to hereditary conditions. When thin, you are more exposed to the risk of getting chronic diseases since your body is weak and frail.

Weight gain foods

It is important to note that muscles in the body are built from the food you eat. The energy used to help in the muscle building process also comes from the food you eat. Therefore, you should eat a diet comprising of proteins (the body/muscle building foods), healthy fats, and carbohydrates. Below are some important foods that you need to incorporate in your diet on a daily basis together with your weight training schedule to help you gain weight.

- Proteins

To gain muscle, you need to take in proteins. These are the muscle building foods. A weight training exercise demands that your body have amino acids. These can only be provided by the proteins we eat in our diet.

On average, you should ensure that you take a gram of proteins for every pound of your weight, that is, for every kilogram on your weight, you should eat 2.2g of proteins. These proteins should be spread out within five to six meals in a day. Good advice is to avoid taking protein supplements and instead take in foods rich in proteins.

Some good sources of proteins include fish, dairy low fat products (with milk being among the best sources), whey, seeds and nuts, and meats.

- Healthy fats

To effectively gain weight, you must also include healthy fats in your diet. These include the omega-3 fatty acids, as well as the monounsaturated and the polyunsaturated fats. Some good sources of these fats include the cold pressed oils like linseed, sunflower and olive oils. Avoid taking in saturated fats like ghee.

- Complex carbohydrates

Your body needs energy to help you with the weight training exercises, as well as the digestion and absorption processes within the body. This energy comes from the carbohydrates you eat. Therefore, make complex carbohydrates a part of your daily diet during the weight gain period.

Warnings:

A common misconception is that taking beer can help with weight gain. However, this is not true. All that happens with beer intake is that it brings about an accumulation of fats in your abdominal section hence the unhealthy pot belly.

In your weight gain efforts, you should also avoid taking in protein supplements as much as you can. If you have to, get advice from your physician or doctor.

4 Important Workout Foods

ByBryan B Marcel

You're tired all the time, but you're not sick - you're just busy. Productivity seems like a long lost dream. All you want to do is exercise and get yourself the body you want, but you're just too tired. The good news is that the solution might be right on your next breakfast plate. Proper nutrition is vitally important to everyday health and wellness. Proper nutrition is even more important under the demands of a high intensity workout. These four foods will help to provide your body with the energy and nutrients that it needs while you exercise and during your recovery period. Of course, nutrition is not all it takes. Be sure to get plenty of sleep, seven to nine hours per night and drink plenty of pure water.

Pumpkin Seeds: If even short workouts give you the fits, you might be low on magnesium, of which pumpkin seeds have a lot. Eating pumpkin seeds alone might not get you all the nutrition you need, but it'll give your engine the jumpstart it needs. It also can help to lower cholesterol levels.

Yogurt: Vitamin-B is important in converting other nutrients in your body into energy. Basically, it makes your engine more efficient at producing energy from the fuel you consume. It also has large amounts of tyrosine, which can have the same effect on you as coffee. But, be careful. Many yogurt brands are loaded with sugar.

Eggs: Eggs are famous for the amount of protein they have. It comes with six grams of extremely high quality protein, and is fantastic for people with active lifestyles. Proteins control how quickly your body absorbs calories, which makes sure that your body's energy levels do not spike. Instead, your energy is properly distributed over a period of time, allowing you to achieve more.

Dark Chocolates: Dessert treats aren't all bad. Dark chocolate is full of polyphenol, a chemical that increases your serotonin levels. Being a little happier can go a long way towards helping you fight your fatigue. It's also quite tasty.

You are what you eat, and if you eat energy filled food, you'll be able to do more with your time. Exercise, play video games, work - anything you want to do, you'll be able to accomplish with the right food. Put the right thing in your tummy and you'll have the fuel to run hard and fast all day.

Many people will know that building six packs, is 51% food and 49% exercise, and if you don't believe me, then ask any personal trainer. They may even tell you food plays a larger part in the six pack plan, and they may be right. I would like to explain which foods help you get a six pack, and which foods to avoid.

.

By now you should know that foods such as Chicken, Wholegrain Breads and Fruit and the largest food parts, and if you are not eating these quite a lot, then you should be changing your diet. Fish and Eggs are something else you need to be adding to your diet, and if you can fill your refrigerator and kitchen cupboards with these foods, you are on your way to reaching your goal. It is very easy to find many easy to make and delicious recipes which contain these foods.

As you can see from the foods above, they are all natural and very affordable, and will help you reach your goal quicker. I for one am a great believer in healthy foods, as they not only help you build muscle, lose weight, but they help you stay in good health. I have been in your situation, and I did find it very easy to eat good foods, and cut out the bad, because I was determined to reach my goal.

Foods to avoid.

Sugary foods and soda, should be avoided. Not only are they bad for your health, but they will in no means help you get a six pack. Pasta, Pizza and other foods which contain hydrogenated fats and oils, are something else to avoid. I have seen many of my friends eat these foods, because they cannot seem to not eat them, but my advice was to not buy them in the first place.

If you can be determined and focused on getting a six pack, then I see no reason why you cannot see positive results in just a week. It is easy to implement and very affordable, because it is all basic healthy food, and most of it is not branded. Take it from me, these are just a couple of the , and there are many more.

If you are serious about building a six pack, then you have to stay focused. A great tip someone once told me was, "If you don't have the junk foods in your house, you are less likely to cheat". How true, and I have remembered that from the day this person told me.

Did you know that certain foods, can help you get a six pack faster? Neither did I, and I certainly didn't think some could be muscle building power foods. If you know the secret foods which are fat burners and muscle builders, you can build abs faster, and lose fat faster. SixPackPlan.info will show you the most effective foods to eat, and exercise regimes to follow.

If you want permanent Abs, you need this!
